This is the .ipt file made with Inventor for printing an enclosure around a USB flash drive.
After measuring the dimensions of the bare USB circuit board, a rectangular base and walls were first modeled that fit the board. A “ceiling” was then extruded on top of that. The circular frame was made by using the arc tool spanning from the center of the entire object out to the front edges where the USB plug would protrude from. The curved top and bottom of the disc was made using the Revolve tool to cut out curved sections around a center axis.
This was an experimental project for learning how to use Autodesk Inventor.
